I’m also a firm believer that the world doesn’t need more products — what it does need is better solutions to existing problems. So at Crann our goal is two-fold; to leave the world a better place than we found it; and help people look as stylish as possible.

So we set out to create a considered solution to what we saw as some major issues around waste and the damage to our planet. At the same time, at every step, we balanced quality, sustainability, function, style and design. With all this in mind CRANN was born.

All our products are 100% made with recycled and sustainable materials! So let's chat about some of these issues we are trying to solve-

Problem: The average household generates 7.7kg of waste per week!

Our Solution: We take stainless steel, PE plastic & wood that would have ended up in a landfill or in the ocean. We break them down to workable materials and turn this waste into beautiful, handcrafted, fashionable sunglasses and watches. Reducing the amount of waste that ends up polluting our planet while sitting in landfills or floating in our oceans.

Problem: The fashion industry generates 4% of the worlds waste each year (92 million tonnes).

Our Solution: By using recycled materials we are taking "waste" turning into a product that is fashionable 100% recycled and recyclable. The days of fast fashion is over! With Crann we stand over our products with 90 days no questions returns policy, AND A LIFETIME WARRANTY. No need for the €2 cheap sunnies and watches which you buy 4/5 times a year 1 pair made of recycled materials to last a lifetime.  

Problem: 41 million trees are cut down each day and deforestation accounts for 20% of global carbon emissions.

Our Solution: By only using recycled wood we don't add to the environment costs. We also help to make a local impact by partnering with the Native Woodland Trust we donate €2 per product. They are dedicated to the preservation of Ireland's remaining ancient woodlands. They are also committed to the restoration of Ireland's original climax ecosystem, through the re-creation of woodlands, using only native seed. (Did You Know: 2 Trees is enough oxygen for a family of 4)

Problem: Big business cares about profits not you.

Our Solution: As an independent family business we are run by people - not by boards, not by stockholders, not by algorithms. And so you get a different kind of care and quality in products because our work is a reflection of ourselves. Instead of focusing on the next market we're expanding into or the next round of funding we're raising, we’re focusing on the details and being the best we can be.
